It's kind of embarrassing looking back through past blog posts and realizing how much we suck at posting up-to-date information on brewery news and especially noticing our extreme optimism on our projected opening date.
Yes, we like to equate brewery construction timelines with home improvement projects... Take your estimated time commitment, double it and then round up to the next unit of measure.
"I'm going to fix the leaky kitchen faucet today!"
Reality: You go to home depot and come to the shattering realization that the contractor who built your house was 'really into european plumbing techniques' and now nothing fits. You have to special order everything and wait for the manager, regional manager and the regional manager's manager to approve it. So the 4 hour project is now looking to be... 8 days. Without running water in your kitchen. We feel for you, we haven't had working toilets in 6 weeks.
So now onto relevant news:
We have floors, real tangible concrete with floor drains. It's like Christmas in May around here.
Next we placed all of the brewing equipment.
That's what everyone cares about anyway. Why did we just post 2 pictures of concrete anyway?
We are "projecting" (I know, it's almost a bit of joke now right?) to open in mid to late June.
This time we are serious though, and just like your teenage son/daughter would say, "Dad, I PROMISE I will be home by midnight..."
Or in our case...we promise to be home by mid June.
